All of my peaceful prayersongs have their roots in the bible. They are very calming and soothing and are perfect for worship and quiet meditation. Many of the songs echo the psalms of the bible.
Track 1, “Whenever I’m Afraid,” is a very comforting song to listen to. It was inspired by Psalm 56:3-4: “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise His word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear.”

My Song begins:
“Oh Lord, when I’m afraid
I will trust in You,
In God I put my trust,
Oh Christ, I trust Your word…” © SDH

Track 2, “Christ, My Bridge” begins:
“You’re my Bridge o’er troubled waters,
You’re my Bridge o’er the widest sea,
You’re my Bridge o’er the deepest canyon,
Jesus, Lord, please cross with me.” © SDH

The prayersong addresses the “worry waves of fear and doubt, unbelief and pride that can plague us all when we are facing the rough seas of trials and tribulations of life. Jesus our loving Savior is our Bridge who helps us cross the turbulent seas that can threaten to overwhelm us during times of crisis. As we abide in Jesus He goes through the storm with us and gives us the grace to overcome our challenges by faith. Jesus said, “In this world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33


Track 3, “I Will Wait For The Lord,” is a very encouraging song inspired by Psalm 130:5-6: “I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.
My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning.” Sometimes when we pray it may seem as though God is ignoring us or has forgotten all about us. But this Psalm reminds us that when God is silent, it doesn’t mean that He has forsaken or forgotten us. For His word promises that He will never leave or forsake us. In Isaiah 49:16 the Lord says, “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands; thy walls are continually before Me.”

My song begins:
“I will wait for the Lord,
My soul, it waits,
And in His word I do hope,
By faith I know He’ll answer me,
He’ll come to me, I know…” © SDH

Track 4, “Yet A Little While,” was inspired by two very comforting verses in the New Testament that tell us how Jesus Christ, our Heavenly High Priest, is at the right hand of our Heavenly Father interceding for us. Romans 8:34 says, “It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” Hebrews 7:25 says, “Wherefore (Jesus) is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

My prayer song begins:
“Yet a little while
And the night will turn to day
The stars will go to sleep
And the moon will slip away;
And yet a little while
Though I can’t hear or see,
I know Someone is praying
In Heaven just for me…” © SDH

Track 5, “Lead Me Ever On,” was inspired by a character’s deep faith and trust in God from my friend Lana L. Higginbotham’s inspirational historical novel. Her character’s life seemed to exemplify the scripture from Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Lana’s character referred to God as the “Maker of my Trails.”

My song begins:
“Oh Maker of my trails,
May You lead me, Lord;
Lead me day by day;
Oh lead me ever on….” © SDH
